About this Role

We are looking for a Group Legal Assistant to join our Head Office team in Milton Keynes. This role is a great opportunity for someone at the start of their legal career who wants to gain hands‑on experience in a fast-paced commercial environment. You will be working closely with our Group Legal Director on a mix of legal matters, with a real focus on debt recovery litigation and commercial contracts.

  • Get involved in debt recovery across all our businesses, from pre-action letters to attending court
  • Draft and negotiate commercial contracts with both customers and suppliers
  • Support on employment, property, and fleet‑related legal issues when needed
  • Take ownership of your own caseload and manage your files with confidence
About You

You will bring your legal knowledge and an eagerness to learn, backed up by solid academic or practical experience. We are not looking for someone who ticks every single box, but someone with potential, commitment, and a positive approach.

  • You will ideally hold an LLB, LLM or Masters in Law. We will also consider applicants with strong practical experience as a paralegal or legal assistant.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Attention to detail and good organisational habits
  • Some exposure to court procedures would be a plus, but training will be given
  • A proactive mindset, a collaborative approach, and a good sense of humour
