Job summary

A growth-focused financial services company in Marlow is seeking a qualified accountant to take full ownership of the finance function. This full-time office-based role involves managing day-to-day finance operations, preparing monthly accounts, overseeing group reporting, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements. The ideal candidate will have experience in group accounting, strong Excel skills, and the ability to communicate effectively with senior stakeholders, supporting the future growth of the business. Salary ranges from £55,000 to £75,000 depending on experience.

Qualifications

  • Strong experience at a similar level needed.
  • Group accounting experience including consolidations is essential.
  • Experience in a multi entity environment is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare monthly management accounts for all companies.
  • Lead year end accounts preparation including audit liaison.
  • Maintain and update fixed asset registers.
  • Produce consolidated accounts for the group.
  • Oversee treasury and cashflow forecasting.
  • Manage VAT, PAYE and corporation tax submissions.
  • Manage group payroll and pension submissions.
  • Manage intercompany transactions and reconciliations.
  • Support budgeting and forecasting process.
  • Ensure financial controls are maintained.
  • Provide financial insight to senior leadership.
  • Line management of one finance team member.

Skills

Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) or QBE
Strong technical knowledge including statutory accounts and audit
Excellent Excel skills
