Job description
Overview

Group Chief Information Officer (CIO) | Professional Services | UK Remote | Board-level Salary, 100% Bonus & Significant Equity.

We are partnered with a PE-backed international Professional Services firm to appoint their Group CIO, a pivotal leadership role reporting to the Group CEO. The role will shape and deliver the internal technology and external customer solutions strategy as the organisation aims to increase revenues by c.50% over the next 2-3 years and maximise value.

Currently around £800m revenue, the organisation has grown rapidly in recent years with 100+ acquisitions, resulting in a highly federated business model. Immediate priorities for the Group CIO include:

  • Deliver and optimise a new centralised Group IT TOM across what is currently a federated technology landscape of 300+ employees, contractors and partners.
  • Ensure the successful implementation and adoption of a new group-wide cloud ERP platform which has just been selected.
  • Create and deliver an AI strategy which maximises business value and market opportunities.
  • Shape and deliver the future strategy for external digital/customer solutions and identify future market opportunities.
  • Oversee the development, delivery and running of the company’s digital platforms, ensuring they deliver scalable, secure, and client-centric solutions that support the strategy and Value Creation Plans.
  • Ensure the security, integrity and resilience of the company's data and IT systems.
Target profile differentiators
  • Exceptional CIO with experience leading both internal IT and external customer solutions in the Professional Services sector (000's of employees / c.£500m+ revenue minimum).
  • Experience shaping and evolving a group technology operating model across multiple geographies and business lines.
  • Overseen the implementation of a tier-1 cloud ERP platform in the Professional Services sector.
  • Experience aligning the technology strategy to the Value Creation Plan in a PE-backed business.
  • High-calibre, high-integrity, low-ego. This is a collaborative, trust-first firm. Personal brand builders won’t fit culturally.
  • Able to tell a story of how AI and Automation solutions have been adopted to add tangible business value.

The company operates remotely across the UK and Europe, with central London the most likely location for meetups. We are open to appointing a Group CIO in the UK&I, or the Nordics.

Culture is hugely important. The organisation is on a 2–3 year value optimisation timeline which will ultimately result in significant equity return. The Group CIO must be an exceptional communicator who can articulate and execute a strategy quickly, in line with the company Value Creation Plan and culture.

We are looking to conduct interviews over the last 2 weeks of September, with a view to shortlisting at the start of October 2025.

Location: UK & Europe (remote) | London meetups likely
