Job summary

A leading facilities management company in the UK is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Operative to deliver exceptional grounds maintenance services. The role involves outdoor tasks such as grass and hedge cutting, using horticultural machinery, and reporting to the Contracts Manager. Previous experience is desirable but not essential. A full UK driving license is preferred as some roles may require the use of company vehicles.

Qualifications

  • Good understanding of smartphone technology.
  • Previous grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not necessary.
  • PAI & PA6 spraying license is desirable.

Responsibilities

  • Grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, litter picking.
  • Using hand tools and powered machinery to maintain sites.
  • Undertake additional training as required.

Hourly Rate of Pay: £ 12.60

Total Weekly Contractual Hours: 40

Requirement: Full UK Driving License

Mitie Landscapes has an exciting opportunity for a Grounds Maintenance Operative to join our team at the UK's market leading FM company. Reporting to the Contracts Manager, you will be delivering exceptional grounds maintenance and winter services for our clients' sites.

Responsibilities
  • Grass and hedge cutting, border maintenance, clearing leaves, spraying, litter picking
  • Using hand tools and powered horticultural machinery to maintain sites and external areas to a high standard
  • Deliver additional services during the winter, such as gritting, clearing snow and installing Christmas trees
  • Report to management with relevant information regarding site hazards
  • Operate a range of vehicles, machinery and equipment in accordance with health and safety procedures
  • Undertake additional training as and when required
Requirements / Qualifications
  • Passion for working outdoors and ability to work across agile and flexible environments
  • Good understanding of smartphone technology
  • Previous grounds maintenance experience is desirable but not necessary
  • PAI & PA6 spraying license is desirable
  • Full driving license is preferable as some roles require use of company vehicles
  • You will report to the Contracts Manager
