Grid Connections Project Lead - Renewable Energy (UK-Based)
An ambitious Independent Power Producer is seeking a Grid Connections Project Lead to drive the successful integration of large-scale renewable energy assets into the UK electricity grid. With major capital investment secured and planning permission in place for rapid expansion, this business is poised to become a major force in the energy transition.

You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth transition of projects from development to operation-managing grid connection strategies, stakeholder relationships, and regulatory compliance across a portfolio of nationally significant assets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Project Leadership: Lead one or more grid connection projects from inception to energisation.
  • Strategic Planning: Develop and implement initiatives to streamline grid connection processes, aligning with business objectives and growth targets.
  • Execution & Delivery: Oversee project planning, scheduling, and execution, ensuring timelines, budgets, and regulatory requirements are met.
  • Stakeholder Engagement: Build strong relationships with grid operators, regulators, and consultants to enable seamless collaboration and delivery.
  • Risk Management: Identify and mitigate risks associated with grid connection activities, implementing contingency plans to avoid delays.
  • Process Improvement: Drive continuous improvement in internal grid connection procedures, leveraging technology and automation to boost efficiency.
  • Knowledge Sharing: Provide training and guidance to internal teams on grid connection best practices, regulatory updates, and industry trends.
