A local charity is seeking a Development Co-ordinator to champion a vibrant programme for older Nepalese women in Greenwich. The role involves planning group activities, recruiting volunteers, and enhancing community connections while ensuring the programme meets health and safety standards. This position requires strong communication skills and a passion for community support, providing an opportunity to significantly impact participants' lives.
We’re looking for a Development Co-ordinator to help shape and deliver a vibrant programme for older Nepalese women (50+) in Greenwich . This is a hands‑on role focused on improving health and wellbeing, reducing isolation, and strengthening access to community and mainstream services.
You’ll work directly with women from the local Nepalese community to design and deliver meaningful activities, build trusted relationships, and ensure the programme reflects the voices and needs of those taking part.
Plan and run weekly group sessions, monthly outings, an annual health event, and an Advisory Group
Co‑produce health and wellbeing activities with participants, volunteers, and partners
Build strong links with families, community networks, faith groups, and local health and statutory services
Recruit, support, and coordinate volunteers, including inductions and one‑to‑one support
Identify training needs and contribute to the Nepalese Women’s Group Plan 2026–2029
Promote the programme and wider Age UK Bromley & Greenwich services to women who may be isolated or facing barriers to support
Contribute content for the website, social media, newsletters, and local noticeboards
Maintain accurate records, support monitoring and evaluation, and develop case studies
Contribute to reports for funders, the Advisory Group, and Senior Management
Ensure safeguarding, Health & Safety, and GDPR requirements are met
Support day‑to‑day budget management and value‑for‑money purchasing
Attend staff meetings, supervision, and training
