Graduate Town Planner – Planning Consultancy (UK)

I'm working with a highly regarded, independent planning consultancy that is looking to appoint a Graduate Town Planner to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a motivated graduate to begin their planning career within a supportive, professional environment that offers genuine exposure to a wide range of projects.

The Opportunity

You’ll be joining a respected consultancy known for delivering high‑quality planning advice across residential, commercial and mixed‑use developments. From day one, you’ll work closely with experienced planners, gaining hands‑on involvement in projects and building a strong foundation for your professional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assisting with the preparation and submission of planning applications
  • Supporting senior planners with planning appraisals, appeals and policy research
  • Liaising with local authorities, consultants and other stakeholders
  • Undertaking site appraisals and contributing to client reports
  • Keeping up to date with local and national planning policy
About You
  • Degree (or postgraduate qualification) in Town Planning or a related discipline
  • Working towards (or intending to work towards) MRTPI accreditation
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Proactive attitude with a genuine interest in the planning profession
  • Good organisational skills and the ability to work as part of a team
