GRADUATE TEACHING ASSISTANT

Wembley, Brent, North West London

Mainstream Secondary School

95 to 110 per day

An excellent secondary school located in Wembley, Brent are looking for a motivated teaching assistant, who is able to work with children on a one to one basis and in small groups. The school highly values the importance of academic knowledge and are wanting to recruit someone who shares this ethos.

You will be working alongside the teachers and other teaching assistants to support children in their attainment and progress. You will need to support children's learning up to GCSE level, be adaptable accordingly to the needs of the individual children, and make observations and carry out sessions instructed by the teacher to improve progress.

Responsibilities

Support children in their attainment and progress, individually and in small groups, alongside teachers and other teaching assistants. Contribute to sessions and observations as directed by teaching staff to improve progress up to GCSE level.

Key skills and qualifications
  • Degree is preferred, in mainstream curriculum subjects are also preferred (English, Maths, Science, French, History, and others)
  • Experience working with children is required
  • Understanding of special needs or learning difficulties
  • Contribute an enthusiastic and creative approach to learning
  • High levels of professionalism
