Overview

You'll be working closely with our experienced team, contributing to the full lifecycle of structural design in concrete, steel, and masonry structures. This role is part of our 2026 graduate programme and is based in High Wycombe as a Graduate Structural Engineer within our water team.

Responsibilities
  • Developing conceptual, preliminary, and detailed structural designs for a variety of water and energy-related infrastructure, such as pumping stations, water treatment works, reservoirs, flood defence schemes, and related buildings.
  • Conducting structural inspections and investigations of existing assets, assessing their condition and integrity.
  • Producing concise and clear reports for asset maintenance, modification, and new build projects.
  • Making calculations about loads and stresses using advanced mathematical and computer modelling software.
  • Selecting appropriate construction materials with a focus on safety, sustainability, and cost-effectiveness.
  • Liaising with multi-disciplinary teams, including Mechanical, Electrical, and Geotechnical engineers, to enable collaborative design-building across complex projects.
  • Assisting with the preparation of drawings and specifications.
Qualifications and qualities
  • Bachelor's degree in Civil, Structural or Geotechnical Engineering.
  • Unconditional right to live and work in the UK for an indefinite period without limitation.
  • A passion for civil or structural engineering with an ability to make a real impact on vital infrastructure projects.
