Penguin Recruitment is delighted to be supporting a leading planning consultancy in their search for a Town Planner to join the team in Manchester.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a candidate with 2-4 years' planning experience to take the next step in their career. You'll gain exposure to a wide range of projects across residential, commercial, retail, and mixed-use schemes, working alongside an experienced team of professionals.

The Role
  • Preparing, managing, and submitting planning applications and appeals
  • Supporting planning appraisals, research, and policy reviews
  • Drafting planning statements and reports to a high professional standard
  • Attending client meetings, site visits, and hearings where required
  • Collaborating with colleagues and clients to deliver successful outcomes
About You
  • RTPI accredited degree or postgraduate qualification in Town Planning or related discipline
  • 2-4 years' experience in planning (public or private sector)
  • Strong communication and report writing skills
  • Organised, proactive, and able to manage multiple deadlines
  • Working towards or already MRTPI chartership
