Job summary

A leading engineering firm in Reading is seeking a Graduate Mechanical Design Engineer to join their innovative team. This role offers exposure to exciting data centre projects globally, fostering professional development in a supportive environment. Candidates should possess an MEng/BEng in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services and exhibit strong communication skills, with proficiency in CAD and BIM software being advantageous.

Qualifications

• Some work experience/internship relating to building services design would be beneficial, although not essential.
• High quality oral and written communications (reports, instructions etc).

Responsibilities

• Production of designs and calculations under the direction of senior engineers.
• Design of mechanical systems for data centre projects globally.
• Work within a diverse team of mechanical and CFD engineers who are located both in the UK and abroad.
• Attending site surveys on large data centre facilities in the UK.
• Using specialist computer–aided design (CAD) and BIM (Revit) software.
• Undertaking duties indicated by team manager to obtain experience and training in mechanical engineering.
