Job description
Overview

As a Mechanical Design Engineer, you'll play a key role in developing the next generation of composite manufacturing technology. From creating early design concepts to supporting commissioning on-site, this is a role that blends creativity, problem-solving, and hands-on engineering. You'll collaborate with colleagues, suppliers, and clients worldwide, working on projects that range from luxury marine components to aerospace innovation. No two days are the same—one moment you'll be turning concepts into detailed designs, the next you could be supporting a client on the factory floor or refining a cutting-edge process.

Responsibilities
  • Designing mechanical components, equipment, and machinery for closed moulding composite processes.
  • Developing design concepts and producing drawings and specifications using appropriate software.
  • Researching new solutions, technologies, and techniques to enhance equipment and processes.
  • Supporting the full project lifecycle, from feasibility studies and BOMs through to build, commissioning, and client handover.
  • Providing training and technical support to client engineers and operators, both in the UK and internationally.
  • Collaborating on sales enquiries, quotations, and technical problem-solving.
  • Ensuring compliance with health and safety standards and maintaining accurate documentation.

This is a role where your ideas matter, your skills grow, and your work makes a tangible impact.
