Overview

They are now seeking a motivated graduate engineer to join their team in Glasgow. This role involves a high degree of site-based work, making it ideal for someone who enjoys practical, hands-on engineering as well as technical reporting.

This is a fantastic opportunity for a graduate or early-career engineer to build a career in geotechnical and geoenvironmental consultancy, working on diverse projects across Scotland while developing both site and office-based skills.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct site investigations, including supervision, logging, and sampling
  • Collect and analyse field data for geotechnical and geoenvironmental projects
  • Assist with contaminated land assessments and geotechnical reporting
  • Support senior staff in project delivery and client liaison
  • Contribute to factual and interpretative reports
  • Work collaboratively with engineers and consultants across disciplines
Requirements

Essential:

  • Degree in Geology, Environmental Science, Engineering Geology, Geotechnical or Geoenvironmental Engineering, or similar discipline
  • Willingness to travel and work outdoors on site as well as in the office
  • Strong work ethic, adaptability, and desire to learn
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Full UK driving licence (essential due to site travel requirements)
  • Right to work in the UK

Desirable:

  • 0–2 years’ relevant consultancy background
  • Exposure to site investigation or groundworks
  • Basic reporting background
