The Opportunity

As a Graduate EIA Consultant, you will contribute across the full lifecycle of environmental projects—from early strategy and feasibility through to detailed design, consenting, construction, and operational stages. You will work alongside experienced planners, environmental specialists, designers and technical teams across a wide range of disciplines, including Planning, EIA, Landscape, Ecology, Archaeology, Heritage, Architecture, Masterplanning and Urban Design.

Responsibilities
  • Project Support & Coordination: Assist in coordinating EIA projects alongside technical specialists. Support the preparation of project plans, timelines and documentation. Monitor project progress to ensure timely delivery of tasks.
  • Environmental Assessment & Research: Carry out background research on environmental topics, planning policy and local requirements. Assist with EIA scoping to identify potential environmental impacts. Support baseline data collection through desk studies and occasional field visits.
  • Technical Writing & Reporting: Contribute to Environmental Statements, Screening Reports, Scoping Reports and planning documents. Review and summarise technical input from specialist teams. Ensure written outputs are clear, accurate and well structured.
  • Stakeholder Engagement Support: Help prepare consultation materials such as presentations, briefings and summary documents.
About You
  • Degree or postgraduate qualification in an environmental discipline (or working towards).
  • Understanding of EIA Regulations and the UK planning system.
  • Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team.
  • Proactive mindset with enthusiasm for business development and industry engagement.
  • Competent in Microsoft Office; experience with Adobe and GIS desirable.
  • Strong time-management skills and a commitment to high-quality written work.
  • Graphics and report-presentation skills advantageous.
