A great opportunity for a Graduate Building Surveyor to join a well-established practice of 45+ years. You’ll gain valuable experience across heritage, healthcare, residential, and education projects while working towards chartership and developing your professional career.

This company was established over 45 years ago, with a large portion of its work coming through from repeat business. This role will work alongside the architecture and interior design teams from concept to project completion.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Assisting senior surveyors with building condition surveys, inspections, and technical reports
  • Supporting project delivery, including contract administration and project management tasks
  • Attending site visits, client meetings, and liaising with contractors and consultants
  • Conducting research and providing technical input on building pathology and refurbishment projects
  • Developing knowledge of listed and historic buildings, with training provided where needed.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A BSc (Hons) degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent)
  • A genuine interest in progressing towards MRICS chartership (full APC support provided)
  • Previous placement or 1–2 years’ work experience in Building Surveying is desirable
  • Excellent communication and report writing skills
  • Enthusiasm to learn, ability to work within a team, and confidence to take initiative.
