Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and highly skilled GP with Extended Scope to join our friendly, motivated and forward‑thinking team.

CHCP Yorkshire Fatigue ME/CFS Service provides an assessment and treatment service across York, North Yorkshire, Lincs and North East Lincs.

We are accepting applications from either existing GPwES in a specialism linked to ME/CFS or associated conditions, or practicing GPs who can demonstrate knowledge of specialist patient management beyond the medical model. There will be a development induction/training package, based on applicants' individual needs.

You will be keen to develop skills and knowledge and motivated to further your understanding of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis/Chronic Fatigue Syndrome and related conditions. You will be committed to supporting the patient's skills and knowledge to enable them to best manage their conditions. You will value and engage with self and peer practice review and supervision in the maintenance of gold standard practice.

Main Duties

CHCP Yorkshire Fatigue ME/CFS Service is committed to providing the highest quality of care working in partnership with patients, their care givers and other health care providers. You will work well as an integrated member of a multi‑disciplinary team as well as possessing the attributes required to work autonomously in managing your own workload. The role will be required to offer joint clinical leadership across the existing service provision to ensure that the service meets the service user needs in line with best practice, CQC standards and legislative frameworks.

You will provide medical expertise and consultation across the service to promote the role of the GPwES, leading on initiatives and improvements, as well as support senior management in delivering the wider service improvements.
