A healthcare facility in Greater London is seeking a part-time GP Receptionist / Care Navigator for 20 hours a week. Job Role

GP Receptionist / Care Navigator (Part‑time, Permanent)

Contract & Hours

20 hours a week – 4 shifts of 5 hours (Mon‑Fri).
Shift pattern: 8:00‑13:00 (at 7:45am arrival), 8:30‑13:30, 13:30‑18:30. Rota repeats every 4 weeks. Occasional late‑night coverage after 18:30 until GP finishes face‑to‑face patients. Ad‑hoc additional hours for sickness or holiday cover.

Pay

£12.21 per hour.

Responsibilities

First point of contact for patients.
Reception duties: answering phone, book appointments, enquiries, prescription queries, e‑consult requests. Process repeat prescriptions, scan medical letters, manage the generic surgery mailbox. Liaise with the multidisciplinary team (MDT) and external agencies (secondary care, community services). Sign‑post patients to appropriate professionals or services – care navigation. Keep patient medical records updated in accordance with the Care Navigation Process. Act as central contact for patients and distribute information and enquiries to the clinical team.

Qualifications
