GENERALADMINISTRATION
Initiating contact with andresponding to requests from patients, other team member and associatedhealthcare agencies and providers. Processing and distributing incoming and outgoing mail. Providing clericalassistance to practice staff as required, including word/data processing,filing, photocopying, and scanning. Cover sickness/annual leaveand work reasonable overtime when required, including some weekends. Undertake statutory andmandatory training as required.
APPOINTMENT SYSTEM MANAGEMENT
Book/edit/cancelappointments and recalls ensuring sufficient information is recorded toretrieve medical record. Deal with home visit requests, carefully noting all details. Arrange transport to hospital appointments for houseboundpatients. Care navigate effectively using protocols, training and tools provided. Operate modern general practice model as per training training provided
MEDICAL RECORDS MANAGEMENT
Ensurethat all records are accurately compiled in advance for each consultingsession. Retrieveand refile records as required, ensuring that strict alphabetical order isadhered to. Ensurecorrespondence, reports, results, etc., are filed in correct record. Ensurerecords are kept neat and tidy and in good repair with all necessaryinformation recorded correctly on the outer cover.

Weare looking to appoint a Receptionist/Administrator AKA Care Navigator to join our busy GPpractices, who will be the first point of contact for arranging patientclinics, liaising with clinical and admin staff together with patients, as wellas carrying out general office management tasks. You will have a good telephonemanner and experience of booking appointments proving strong organisational skills.
Youwill be responsible for the arrangement of clinics, liaising with clinical andadmin staff together with patients. You will manage general administrativeduties within the practices and work with our established processes, policiesand procedures to provide a comprehensive high quality service and dealefficiently and courteously with patient enquiries and bookings.
Youwill have excellent communication skills, a compassionate and friendly naturewho can operate in a busy, demanding environment with a range of people and professions,as you will be working in our clinical and administration teams.
Yourregular duties in this role will be dealing with telephone, face to face andelectronic enquiries, booking and/or amending patient appointments and homevisits, contacting patients to provide information from the clinical team andassisting patients to access our services and those available in the widercommunity.
Thisrole is ideal for someone who is highly organised and an effective communicatorwho can provide a professional and warm welcome to our patients, ensuring everycontact is of the highest quality.
ITskills are essential, as you will be regularly creating searches, data inputand monitoring our achievements and progress against national, local, andinternal targets.
