A healthcare provider in Wales is looking for an experienced Pharmacist to enhance their healthcare team. The role involves ensuring medication dispensing accuracy, contributing to clinical audits, and engaging with patients and multidisciplinary teams. For some time, our practices have been diversifying their teams to include a range of Health Professionals of varying skills and expertise, and we are delighted to be able to further enhance that ethos by recruiting a Pharmacist. Our practices are used to training healthcare professionals and are keen to use this skill set to help support our campaign.
The Pharmacist will have the opportunity to develop and enhance their skill set with regular personal appraisals. You will need to have confidence to communicate and influence groups and individuals at all levels while remaining committed to providing excellent patient care.
Main duties of the job include developing and maintaining medication dispensing accuracy, ensuring safe pharmacy practice, contributing to clinical audits, and supporting patient medication reviews. You will also be expected to engage with multidisciplinary teams, provide patient education, and assist in the optimisation of medication therapy.
As an experienced Pharmacist you will bring a strong foundation in pharmaceutical knowledge, evidence‑based practice, and a commitment to patient safety. The role welcomes candidates proficient in English, with Welsh language skills desirable but not essential.
As per Agenda for Change Terms and Conditions you are required to work 33.75 hours per week (excluding meal breaks). These hours are to be worked Monday to Friday and will not include weekends and bank holidays.
