Job Description

The Investment Strategy Group (ISG), within the Asset & Wealth Management Division of Goldman Sachs, provides customized asset allocation solutions to help clients preserve and grow their wealth.

Responsibilities
  • Develop customized asset allocation solutions and analyses for clients.
  • Collaborate with the team and private wealth advisors to gather client information, analyze portfolios, and produce customized asset allocation solutions.
  • Contribute to research efforts related to asset allocation modelling and individual asset classes.
  • Generate tailored research reports and presentations for clients.
  • Provide asset allocation guidance to the Private Wealth Management team.
  • Perform general business duties, e.g., maintaining presentations, data, meeting records, etc.
Basic Qualifications
  • Strong communication skills, especially the ability to explain complex technical concepts in simple terms.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and passion to engage with clients.
  • Attention to details, patience, and ability to multi‑task under pressure.
  • Collaborative and teamwork oriented with the ability to follow instructions and execute with good judgement.
  • Independent, logical, and critical thinking, with willingness to think outside the box.
  • Exceptional quantitative and analytical skills with a minimum undergraduate degree in a STEM subject or quantitative field; an undergraduate Economics degree acceptable if combined with a quantitative postgraduate degree in finance.
  • Proficiency in one or more programming languages (Python preferable); solid Excel and PowerPoint skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast‑paced high‑stress environment.
  • Highly motivated and eager to learn.
Preferred Qualifications / Skills
  • Master(s) in Finance with quantitative focus (financial mathematics, quantitative finance, financial engineering, financial econometrics, etc.).
  • Keen interest in the financial market and good investment sense.
  • Knowledge of current academic research and industry practices.
  • Proficiency in other European language(s) would be an advantage.
