Job description

We are seeking an experienced Senior Brand Manager to shape the future of the McConnell’s Irish Whisky brand and ensure consistent brand building and excellence in execution every market. The Global Senior Brand Manager will be responsible for leading the development and execution of compelling brand strategies and campaigns, working closely with internal teams, agency partners, and distributors worldwide.

Key Responsibilities
Brand Strategy
  • Develop and refine McConnell’s global brand positioning, messaging, and visual identity.
  • Ensure consistent brand storytelling across all markets and touchpoints.
  • Translate the brand strategy into annual brand plans and toolkits for global roll-out.
Campaign Development & Innovation
  • Lead the creation and delivery of integrated global marketing campaigns across social media and traditional media touchpoints.
  • Development of point-of-sale materials to drive brand awareness and rate of sales across the On Trade and Off Trade channels.
  • Collaborate with digital and PR agency partners to maximise reach and impact.
  • Support the development of experiential events, sponsorships, and consumer engagement activities.
  • Support the CMO in developing brand extensions, new product development, and packaging design.
Local Market Support & Distributor Relations
  • Lead the creation and delivery of integrated global marketing campaigns — from concept to execution
  • Work closely with regional partners and distributors to adapt and activate campaigns locally.
  • Develop and deliver brand training and guidelines for partners and internal teams.
  • Support event organisation and execution for key trade shows and festivals in local and key global markets.
  • Liaise with markets to produce monthly in-market sales depletion reports.
Administration & Reporting
  • Conduct consumer and competitor insights research to inform brand and product decisions.
  • Monitor brand health, campaign effectiveness, and consumer trends.
  • Manage budgets for brand initiatives and report on ROI and key KPIs.
  • Prepare regular updates and presentations for the leadership team.
Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years’ brand manager experience in premium spirits, drinks, or FMCG — global or multi-market exposure preferred.
  • Strong understanding of brand strategy, communications, packaging, and activation.
  • Experience developing campaigns across social, digital, PR, trade, and experiential channels.
  • Proven ability to manage agency partners and cross-functional teams.
  • Highly organised with excellent project management skills.
  • Skilled storyteller with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
