Job Title

Global Portfolio & Transaction Manager

What we are looking for

The Global Portfolio & Transaction Manager role is based in the heart of the City of London and plays a pivotal role in driving value creation and operational excellence across three core areas : Capital & Return Optimization VCF Knowledge & Portfolio Support and Collateral Audits.

Initially your main focus will be ensuring precision in capital calculations and establishing a robust foundation to optimize return. From there it expands into mastering capital frameworks and credit risk principles to strengthen transaction reviews and enable structural enhancements.

Building on this expertise the role entails to assist with collateral audit activities; managing pipelines analysing reports and partnering with regional teams to safeguard asset quality. This structured progression empowers the incumbent to evolve from technical delivery to strategic portfolio oversight influencing decisions across all VCF regions and driving sustainable growth.

The Function & Role

The role which sits within the VCF function of the business plays a pivotal role in driving value creation and operational excellence across three core areas : Capital & Return Optimization VCF Knowledge & Portfolio Support and Collateral Audits. VCF is the centre of competence for payables structured inventory products and receivables finance solutions. The business provides Rabobank clients with optionality of products for their working capital needs and to enhance the revenue contribution of clients to the overall Wholesale revenue line by being a one stop service provider for working capital supply chain finance and value chain finance for customers primarily of Wholesale but also other Rabobank Group entities such as DLL.

VCF is keenly focused on digitalization innovation sustainability and new product development for its clients and to Growing A Better World Together.

You will be responsible for supporting capital optimization and return enhancement with the Capital Optimization Officer. The role sits at the intersection of capital efficiency and regulatory compliance focusing on optimizing portfolio returns while meeting evolving standards.

Key responsibilities
  • Refining capital calculations.
  • Supporting the adaptation and application of regulatory models.
  • Contributing to accurate reporting and data analysis.
  • Play a pivotal role in projects that enhance operational effectiveness and inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop deep understanding of capital frameworks credit risk principles and portfolio metrics.
  • Exposure to transaction reviews structural improvements and regulatory-driven reporting ensuring alignment across all four VCF regions.
  • Transition to support collateral audit pipeline interpreting third-party inspection reports and applying quality assurance standards, working closely with regional teams to safeguard collateral integrity and mitigate operational risks.
Skills & Experience Required

Knowledge of financial products including Asset Based Lending leverage finance corporate banking and securitisation.

Knowledge of capital modelling and capital process policies and procedures in relation to accounts receivables payables and inventory.

Experienced in Receivables and Inventory field exams / due diligence for ABLs Securitisation and other working capital products.

Strong working knowledge of Securitized Asset Based Lending and other working capital products.

Knowledge of Python and Excel skills.

Audit / Inventory experience of collateral.
