Overview

London-based Geotechnical / Geo-Environmental Consultant sought at a leading and innovative, large Environmental Consultancy. This role is based in London.

Our client is a leading provider of specialist risk management and compliance services, operating across a diverse range of sectors including infrastructure, construction, and the built environment. With a strong reputation for innovation and integrity, they are seeking passionate individuals to join their growing team in London and contribute to projects that make a meaningful impact on safety and sustainability.

Responsibilities
  • Planning and overseeing small to medium-scale projects, ensuring key milestones are met and client expectations are delivered.
  • Organising and coordinating intrusive site investigations, environmental monitoring, and geotechnical assessments.
  • Interpreting chemical and geotechnical testing results to assess risks and provide technical recommendations.
  • Preparing clear, structured reports with practical recommendations for clients.
  • Maintaining an understanding of geo-environmental and geotechnical legislation, standards, and best practices.
  • Acting as a key point of contact for clients, suppliers, and internal teams, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
  • Ensuring compliance with Health & Safety regulations and best practices during all site and office-based activities.
  • Supporting junior staff, providing guidance and knowledge-sharing to aid their professional growth.
Requirements
  • Relevant degree (Geo-Environmental, Geology, Earth Science, Civil Eng., or similar).
  • Minimum 2 years' industry background.
  • Background in a similar role, ideally within a consultancy.
  • Strong technical and analytical skills with the ability to interpret geotechnical and environmental data.
  • Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
  • Project management background, including coordinating fieldwork and liaising with clients.
  • Flexible to travel, occasionally working outside standard hours.
  • A full UK driving licence.
