A global consulting leader is seeking experienced Geotechnical Engineers for contract opportunities supporting diverse global projects. The role focuses on geotechnical expertise for offshore and onshore environments, including soil interaction calculations and design of subsea structures. Candidates should have a degree in Geotechnical, Civil or Geological Engineering and relevant experience in marine/offshore systems. This position considers flexible working arrangements and emphasizes a strong team culture and commitment to professional development.
Wood is seeking expressions of interest from experienced Geotechnical Engineers for contract opportunities within our Consulting business unit, supporting a diverse portfolio of global projects. While the role is ideally based in Staines, we are also open to considering Aberdeen as an alternative location.
This role involves comprehensive geotechnical expertise across offshore and onshore environments. It includes analysing soil‑pipe interactions for various seabed conditions such as sand, clay, and silt, and designing foundations for subsea structures using mud mats or piles, with seismic considerations. Additionally, the position demands strong capabilities in geohazard assessment, including desk studies, geological interpretation of geophysical data, and site reconnaissance.
