Position: Engineering Geologist

Location: Birmingham (Hybrid working available)

About the Role

We are working with a respected consultancy seeking an Engineering Geologist to join their growing Birmingham team. This is a fantastic opportunity to contribute to a wide range of geotechnical and civil engineering projects while enjoying the flexibility of hybrid working.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, manage, and undertake ground investigations.
  • Supervise drilling, sampling, and in-situ testing.
  • Interpret geological, geotechnical, and environmental data.
  • Prepare factual and interpretative reports.
  • Support geotechnical design for foundations, earthworks, and retaining structures.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, and regulators to ensure smooth project delivery.
Requirements
  • Degree in Geology, Engineering Geology, or related discipline.
  • Experience in site investigation and geotechnical engineering (postgraduate or industry).
  • Strong knowledge of UK geology and ground conditions.
  • Excellent report writing and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving licence.
