The Vacancy

The Geosciences division within RSK Group Ltd, is one of the UK's largest environmental consultancies. RSK now has an exciting opportunity for a Geo-Environmental Consultant to join the growing team in Derby, this is a full-time, permanent position. Working alongside an experienced team you will get involved with a vast array of development projects.

Responsibilities:

  • Production of environmental management plans including Pollution Prevention and Surface Water Management Plans for construction sites
  • Auditing construction sites for compliance with Surface Water Management Plans
  • Advising clients on meeting UK regulatory requirements for Surface Water Management and associated permits/exemptions
  • Liaison with regulators including the Environment Agency/ National Resources Wales
  • Response / management of environmental incidents including, fuel/oil spillage, silt discharges, and effluent discharges
  • Advice and on site training of clients on issues including ecology, contamination and waste management
  • Production of quotations/tenders for new projects
  • Management of clients and projects

Person specification:

  • There is a range of opportunities for individuals with between 2 and 10 years minimum experience in the environmental sector.
  • Able to deliver projects and work within a multi-disciplinary consultancy
  • Able to work closely and confidently with clients and regulators
  • A track record in managing time and resources effectively and within budget
  • Full UK driving licence
