GENERAL OPERATIVE

Location: NORMANTON

Employment type: PERMANENT

Salary: £26,434

Our client based in the Normanton area, just off the M62, have an immediate need for a general operative who will be a pivotal team player. The role will be varied, and the right general operative will help out in all areas of production.

Duties include

• Assist machine operators with material movements and machine changeovers.
• Provide support with core cutting.
• Carry out FLT duties across the site.
• Assist with maintenance duties as and when required.
• Assist machine operators with job set up.
• Help maintain a clean working environment.
• Ensure all operators have all the materials required for each job.

This a permanent role for the successful general operative, you will have experience of working in a manufacturing environment and it will help if you already have, and is in date, an FLT license.

You will be self motivated with a positive and helpful demeanour, you will be flexible and able to drop one job to help with a more urgent job, but with this comes freedom and you will almost dictate your own daily workload....

Shift pattern

Week 1 - Wednesday, Thursday and Friday DAYS ( 6am - 6pm )

Week 2 - Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday NIGHTS (6pm - 6am )

Week 3 - Monday & Tuesday DAYS, Wednesday OFF, Thursday and Friday Nights
