The General Manager is responsible for overseeing all daily operations of the gym, ensuring exceptional member experience, driving membership growth, and leading a high-performing team. This role requires strong leadership, business management skills, and a passion for fitness.

Operations & Facility Management
  • Oversee daily gym operations to ensure cleanliness, safety, and equipment functionality.
  • Manage schedules, staffing levels, and day-to-day workflows.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and industry regulations.
Member Experience
  • Maintain high levels of member satisfaction and promptly address concerns.
  • Foster a welcoming, community-focused environment.
  • Oversee member onboarding, engagement, and retention strategies.
Sales & Business Performance
  • Develop and execute membership sales goals, promotions, and marketing strategies.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) and create action plans to meet targets.
  • Manage budgets, expenses, and financial reporting.
Team Leadership
  • Recruit, hire, train, and mentor staff, front desk, and support teams.
  • Lead staff meetings and performance evaluations.
  • Promote a positive, motivated team culture.
Administrative Duties
  • Inventory and supply orders.
  • Maintain accurate records and reporting.
  • Communicate regularly with ownership regarding performance and needs.
Qualifications
  • 3+ years of management experience (fitness industry preferred).
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven sales and customer service experience.
  • Ability to multitask and work independently.
  • CPR/AED certification (or willingness to obtain).
