We're looking for a General Manager for a beautiful rural pub & hotel in Swarkestone. Salary up to £46,000 plus bonus and a generous benefits package.

Marston’s is one of the UK’s largest and most beloved pub chains and today, we operate more than 1,300 pubs, bars and hotels. Now, we’re on the lookout for a great General Manager to take charge at the Crewe & Harpur and lead the team to success!

About the pub

The Crewe & Harpur is a beautiful 17th century coach house, comprising of a popular pub & restaurant, as well as 7 boutique bedrooms, located between Swarkestone & Melbourne, Derbyshire.

The pub is a destination venue and forms part of Marston's 'Signature' collection, with a more premium food offering and styling. Its location on the riverside with a large garden means that its particularly popular during summer.

Currently the pub is achieving weekly sales of around £28,000 which is food-led at 65% (10% rooms, 25% wet trade) with further scope to increase sales through driving garden activity during the summer season, as well as maximising on the local village trade.

There is a full senior team in place including an Assistant Manager, Head Chef and Supervisors and has been ran consistently by a General Manager who is moving internally with us.

There is 3 bedroom accommodation available onsite, as well as another small one-bedroom separate accommodation.
