Job summary

A leading streetwear brand in Birmingham is looking for a Senior Designer to join their design team. You will work closely with designers and directors to develop high-quality branded products. The ideal candidate should be organised and self-motivated, with experience in quality control and production tracking. This role offers the opportunity to play a key role from product design through to delivery and to help the brand grow both in the UK and internationally.

Qualifications

  • Organised, self-motivator capable of taking ownership of responsibilities.
  • Experience in communications with factories for production tracking.
  • Ability to assist in product safety standard compliance.

Based Birmingham

A leading streetwear brand that gains inspiration from the UK’s urban scene coupled with musical influences requires senior designers to join their design team.

The brand has an increasing presence in the US & Europe and has recently successfully launched womens & Kidswear.

The role
  • Working closely with the Designers and Directors to develop branded products which are fit for purpose
  • Assist with measuring & sending comments on samples.
  • Assist with the checking of submissions sent from the factories including lab dips, bulk fabric and print submissions
  • Ensuring that the products follow all safety standards and meet minimum requirements on testing
  • Working to a critical path to ensure that the development process is smooth and that the ex-factory dates are maintained
  • Communicating with multiple factories to ensure the production process is on track
  • QC check production & feedback to factories
  • General day to day organisation is required, including organising samples, archiving old samples & creating / removing submission files
  • Support with managing log of brand returns
  • The role is based at head office
  • Holding fit sessions and advising on problems on fit

You’ll play a key role in developing the products from initial design stage all the way through to delivery.
