The Workplace Experience Team is a high-performing, motivated and collaborative team responsible for delivering a portfolio of customer-focused work that includes Future Ways of Working, the Customer Experience function and Customer Insight.
The Future Ways of Working team is responsible for embedding and evolving modern working practices across the civil service.
Following the successful delivery of the smarter working programme the Future Ways of Working team are responsible for sustaining a network of smarter working practitioners to help inform and influence future ways of working which continues to build on the principles of flexibility and choice.
Aligning with the wider GPA interoperability programme the Future ways of working lead will be responsible for establishing the next iteration of ways of working that will continue to support Government Hubs operating effectively but also develop a new set of principles that will be key enabler to delivering greater sharing of Government workspaces.
The Workplace Experience Team is a small team who support a broad base across GPA and so there may be times when the successful candidate may need to support other areas across the team.
Key Responsibilities As the Future Ways of Working Lead, your specific responsibilities will include: Lead on the strategic development of ‘Ways of Working’ and deliver a discovery phase of data gathering to inform an approach to ways of working the civil service.
Line manage, lead, develop and support the Future Ways of Working team Providing support to workplace experiences team to realise the benefits of smarter working within Government Hubs and the wider GPA estate, ensuring that where available, customer insight and data is used to influence the business change Leading the cross-government, and wider public sector, Smarter Working Community of Practice (up to SCS1) including hosting events, providing advice and guidance, developing and delivering tools and products which demonstrate and share GPA’s expertise in workplace experience Providing direct support and advice to the Head of Customer Insights & Future Ways of Working(G6), the Deputy Director of Workplace Experience (SCS1) and Workplace Services Director (SCS2) Seek out and participate in topic-suitable networks and events, including public speaking at industry conferences and other workplace experience related events Identify and review relevant research materials, studies and articles, creating products and advice from intelligence gathered so that the GPA maintains its position as smarter working thought leaders across government
