Overview

Funeral Service Operative Level One – K Y Green Funeral Directors, Aylesbury. Full‑time, permanent. Salary £25,652 per annum plus on‑call payments. This role is part of a compassionate team that helps families say goodbye.

Responsibilities
  • Collect the deceased from various locations and scenarios in a professional and empathetic manner.
  • Bear coffins and drive funeral vehicles.
  • Maintain cleanliness of equipment and facilities, including vehicles.
  • Prepare coffins and engrave name plates.
  • Prepare the deceased in our care for viewings and the funeral.
  • Support the funeral service crew during service events, ensuring a respectful environment.
Qualifications & Requirements
  • Compassionate and reliable individual.
  • Good customer service skills with a sensitive approach to grieving families.
  • Ability to remain calm and compassionate under emotional circumstances.
  • Physical fitness to perform manual lifting and carrying.
  • Full manual UK driver’s licence.
  • Willingness to be trained; no prior experience required.
  • Knowledge of health and safety procedures.
