A leading educational support organization is seeking Functional Skills Tutors to assist students below their expected attainment levels. The role involves engaging with disengaged learners and facilitating their progression towards achieving Functional Skills qualifications. Successful candidates will have QTS or PGCE and experience with SEND pupils.

The Opportunity
Prospero Teaching are partnered with Local Councils and SEND teams throughout the UK. We provide educational support to individuals who are currently out of mainstream education, those seeking additional support, and individuals with SEND.
We are currently looking for Functional Skills Tutors who have experience supporting children and young people who are currently working below their age expected attainment levels and unable to take their GCSE’s but would be able, with support achieve a Functional Skills qualification. Some of these children and young people are disengaged learners, so require a tutor who is able to increase engagement and help them achieve a qualification.
Due to the nature of the students we provide support to, applicants must have QTS, a PGCE or equivalent.
Experience, Training and Qualifications:
To be eligible for this role, the potential Functional Skills Tutors must:
· Hold the right to work in the UK
· Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
· Provide two professional child-related references.
