Job summary

Job description

Key Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver engaging Functional Skills English and/or Maths sessions
• Support learners at Entry Level to Level 2
• Track learner progress and maintain accurate records
• Prepare learners for assessments and exams
• Adapt teaching methods to meet individual learning needs
• Create a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment

Requirements

• Relevant teaching qualification (e.g. PGCE, Cert Ed, or equivalent)
• Functional Skills English and/or Maths at Level 2 or above
• Experience delivering Functional Skills or similar provision
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to motivate and support diverse learners
• Enhanced DBS check (or willingness to obtain one)

Desirable

• Experience working with adults, apprentices, or learners with additional needs
• Assessor or IQA qualifications
• Familiarity with exam board requirements
