A tutoring organization in Diggle is looking for a passionate Functional Skills Tutor to help learners develop essential skills in Maths, English, and ICT. The role involves delivering one-on-one lessons, planning tailored sessions, and supporting diverse learners. Functional Skills Tutor – Diggle (OL3)
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed tutors to deliver Functional Skills support in Diggle (OL3). This role focuses on helping learners develop essential skills in Maths, English, and ICT, giving them the confidence and qualifications they need for work, study, and everyday life.
You’ll be working on a 1:1 basis with learners who may be outside of mainstream education, require additional support, or are preparing for accredited Functional Skills qualifications. Lessons are delivered face-to-face in homes or community settings, with sessions tailored to individual needs and abilities.
Your role will include:
Delivering engaging Functional Skills tuition in Maths, English, and ICT
Planning lessons to suit learners’ individual levels and learning styles
Supporting learners of different ages and abilities, including those with SEND or SEMH
Monitoring progress and providing constructive feedback
What we’re looking for:
Experience teaching or tutoring Functional Skills
Strong knowledge of Maths and English (ICT desirable)
A patient, adaptable, and motivating approach
An Enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or willingness to apply)

£25–£30 per hour, depending on experience
