Duties

• Deliver Functional Skills Maths and English up to Level 2, primarily to groups of learners, with 1 : 1 sessions delivered as required.
• Deliver IAG and potentially Employability skills to learners as required.
• Develop tailored training / workshops and adopt a more personalised approach for individuals requiring more support.
• Identify learner's strengths and weaknesses through initial assessment diagnostics and support them accordingly.
• Identify any barriers to learning and plan effective training based on individual learner needs.
• Provide progress feedback to learners and provide support to ensure they meet their set goal / target.
• Ensure each learner's progression is recorded efficiently.

Essential Criteria

• Must have experience of delivering Functional Skills through to Level 2.
• Hold, or be willing to work toward a recognised teaching qualification (e.g. AET / PTLLS).
• Must hold own GCSEs in Maths and English at Grade C or above, or Functional Skills equivalents.
• Happy to deliver face‑to‑face sessions to learners.
• Must be IT literate.
• Enthusiastic individual who is able to make a real impact and make learning exciting.
• Driving licence and use of a vehicle.
• Must be flexible with travel.
