Overview

Full-time Secondary P.E. Teacher Needed in East Birmingham. Start date: September 2025 - Ongoing. A fantastic, highly rated secondary school in East Birmingham are looking to recruit a full-time P.E. Teacher to join their supportive team from the start of the term in September 2025. The role will initially be to cover maternity absence with the potential for further work at the school for the right candidate.

Experience or willingness to cover other subjects within secondary education may be required as part of the weekly timetable may involve cover supervision.

Responsibilities
  • Take on a timetable which will include all year groups within the secondary range and ideally A-Level (KS5) classes.
  • Deliver high quality sport and physical activity sessions across the National Curriculum.
  • Support pupil behaviour management and implement effective strategies with a class of up to 30 pupils.
  • Possible involvement in covering other subjects within the secondary curriculum as part of the weekly timetable.
Qualifications
  • QTS or a broad range of coaching qualifications and a relevant higher-level diploma.
  • Experience in the sports coaching and/or education sector.
  • Ability to deliver high quality sport and physical activity sessions across the National Curriculum.
