Job description

Healthcare systems are broken. Systems are collapsing under pressure. The only way forward is proactive healthcare - prioritising early detection and prevention.

We're live in hospitals - real patient data, real clinical decisions, clinicians who rely on what we build every day. We're the only class IIb certified AI-Clinical Decision Support tool under EU MDR, with a mature infrastructure platform that handles cloud and on-prem deployment, authentication, autoscaling, and compliance so you can focus on what matters - building tools that solve real-world clinical problems.

You'll work across the full stack with real ownership - improving our existing product, building greenfield projects, collaborating with clinicians, ML engineers, product, and regulatory specialists. Smart people, hard problems.

About The Role

You'll be building the products that clinicians rely on every day to save lives. Python on the backend, React and Next.js on the frontend, data pipelines that transform messy healthcare data into clinical insights - you'll work across the full stack, shipping features that go from idea to production fast.

Your work will directly influence clinical decisions

We're a medical device company and so testing is as important as building. That means pairing speed with rigorous testing practices: test-driven development, comprehensive unit and integration tests. We value engineers who can move fast and slow down when correctness, safety, or evidence demands it.

What You'll Do
  • Build and ship full-stack features across our clinical decision support platform
  • Design and build data pipelines that transform healthcare data into actionable clinical insights
  • Work with Python on the backend and React/Next.js on the frontend
  • Write comprehensive tests - because in medical software, "it works on my machine" doesn't cut it
  • Collaborate directly with product and ML teams to understand real problems and build real solutions
  • Help us define and improve our engineering practices as we scale
Core Requirements
  • Strong backend (python) and frontend experience (React, Next.js)
  • You believe in testing as a first-class engineering practice, not an afterthought
  • Comfortable shipping production systems - you can point to things you've built that you're proud of
  • You communicate well and enjoy collaborating with people who aren't engineers
  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, or equivalent practical experience
  • Thoughtful and hands-on with modern AI-powered developer tools, using them to improve productivity while maintaining high standards for correctness, testing, and safety
Nice to Have
  • You can point to code, systems, or products you've contributed to that demonstrate strong engineering judgement - through open source, internal platforms, or shipped products
  • Experience with healthcare data, HL7/FHIR, or clinical systems
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure (AWS/GCP) or containerisation
  • Working knowledge of machine learning

We don't expect candidates to tick every box. If you're strong in most areas and excited by the problem space, we'd love to hear from you.

Why this role, Why now

We're at a defining moment - building core products, shaping regulatory pathways, and proving real-world value. This may well be the defining moment of your career, where your input will directly influence the trajectory of the company, the product, and patient outcomes. In 5 years, others will say "I wish I had joined then". We're building the clinical intelligence platform - deeply embedded in clinical workflows and, over time, personalised to ultimately build your Human Digital Twin.
