Overview

We have an exciting opportunity at our prestigious independent Boarding School site near Godalming for a Front of House Supervisor to join the team at Accent Catering. The school is a thriving co-educational day and boarding preparatory school in Shackleford, catering to approximately 220 pupils aged 7 to 13, along with teaching and support staff. The catering provision is extensive and varied, covering breakfast, lunch, and dinner daily, plus match teas, and a wide range of hospitality and school events throughout the academic year. This role offers an excellent opportunity to supervise and oversee the delivery of impeccable food and customer service at the school, where your genuine passion for food and service can shine. The school is set against the rural Surrey countryside and is within easy reach of London and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of catering services at the school, ensuring smooth daily operations
  • Supervise and motivate a team to provide impeccable food and customer service
  • Manage stock levels and control procedures
  • Maintain ongoing team communications, build internal relationships, management reporting, and client liaison to enable operational excellence
  • Ensure compliance with COSHH, Food Safety, health & safety, legal regulations, environmental policies, and duty of care to customers and colleagues
  • Demonstrate good communication skills and clear English language proficiency in a customer-facing role
  • Flexible to work evenings and weekends as required
Qualifications and Experience
  • Preferably experience of working in independent schools
  • Understanding of managing allergens
  • Ability to motivate and manage a team
  • Experience overseeing a catering service to ensure smooth daily operations
  • Ability to supervise teams to ensure delivery of high-quality food and customer service
  • Experience controlling and managing stock levels
Terms and Benefits
  • Salary: £16 per hour, term-time only (38 weeks per year)
  • Hours: 40 hours per week, 5 of 7 days (evenings and weekends as required)
