Front of House Catering Supervisor

Location: St Leonards School, The Pends, St Andrews, KY16 9Q

Salary: £13.60 per hour

Hours: 38 hours per week, 5 days out of 7

Our catering and hospitality service plays a key role in creating a welcoming and supportive community for our students, staff, and visitors. We are now looking for a Front of House Catering Supervisor to join our dedicated team and help us deliver outstanding service every day.

The Role

As Front of House Catering Supervisor, you will lead our Front of House team to ensure all catering and hospitality services run smoothly, consistently, and to the highest standards. Working closely with the Senior Management Team and Executive Chef, you will oversee daily service, support special events, and champion excellence in customer experience.

  • Supervising meal services and catering operations across school and hospitality functions.
  • Acting as Allergen Champion, ensuring compliance and awareness in service delivery.
  • Managing and ordering stock in collaboration with the Executive Chef.
  • Ensuring marketing, signage, and presentation are ready ahead of each service.
  • Supporting the recruitment, training, and scheduling of staff.
  • Promoting and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety.
  • Assisting with daily operations, including service on the counter or in the kitchen when required.
  • Taking an active role in ensuring health, safety, and safeguarding standards are upheld at all times.
  • This is a varied role requiring flexibility to support evening, weekend, and holiday events, as well as the ability to take ownership of day-to-day service excellence.
About You

We are looking for someone with:

  • Proven experience in a supervisory role within catering, hospitality, or a similar environment.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead and motivate a team.
  • A clear, supportive leadership style, and the ability to resolve challenges with innovative solutions.
  • Strong organisational and time management skills.
  • A proactive, professional approach with a focus on customer service and attention to detail.

Desirable: Level 2/3 Food Hygiene qualification.
