As the Signal Ocean Platform continues to grow, we're expanding our engineering team. We're looking for a Front‑End Engineer with experience in React, someone who is curious, proactive, and passionate about building high‑quality digital solutions. Signal's Software Engineers work closely with data science, design, product, and business analysis professionals to develop robust solutions for the highly entrepreneurial domain of shipping. We build cloud solutions using C#, .NET Core, Typescript, React, MSSQL Server, Azure, Python, MongoDB, Redis, Docker, Kubernetes, Grafana and more. We also offer the opportunity to work on complex architectures and technology stacks, as well as a global, Artificial Intelligence‑powered technology product vision, supported by the use of multiple AI tools and accelerators. We use Agile to organise our teams and would love to onboard people who can contribute across product discovery, delivery, optimisation, QA, DevOps, and Continuous Integration.

Signal Ocean is the technology arm of the Signal Group. Our primary product, The Signal Ocean Platform, enables shipping professionals to securely handle, integrate, and assess intricate collections of private and public shipping data. Driven by advanced machine learning and artificial intelligence, our technology suite provides tailored, exclusive insights that support our clients in improving performance and efficiency. Insights are delivered over web and mobile applications, as well as through a rich set of APIs and SDKs. Our backend architecture is abstracted to modularly offer deep analytics capabilities our solutions leverage or can be directly embedded in our client's system topologies.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of front‑end development experience building real‑world web applications of medium‑to‑large scale and complexity.
• Practical experience with React, JS/TS, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in building intuitive web interfaces that present data in compelling ways.
• Ability to iterate tasks quickly with the aim to present UI prototypes.
• Experience in building and consuming REST APIs.
• Understanding of unit testing and efficient web testing frameworks.
• Ability to work effectively with remote teams.
• Positive, collaborative approach to work and a strong sense of ownership and accountability.
• Excellent command of written and spoken English (company's working language).
• Familiarity with C#, .NET Core, Design Patterns, SOLID and cloud infrastructure is a plus.
• Master's or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
