Job description

Job Title: French Speaking Customer Service Advisor

Location: Blantyre (Part time Hybrid working optional after the initial training)

Hours: Monday to Friday, 8am – 4.15pm

Pay Rate: £27,000 Per Annum

Contract Type: Permanent

Key Responsibilities
  • Handle enquiries via a range of channels including inbound calls, emails, live chat & web, taking ownership of customer enquiries from start to finish, ensuring that every customer is left with a 5‑Star experience.
  • Communicate with customers about their orders, including any delays in delivery, late delivery time frame, return of goods and/or faulty products.
  • Process orders/quotes via telephone, email, web, live chat & online portals, and respond within the same working day.
  • Handle any product & technical enquiries via telephone, email & live chat, demonstrating the ability to question to understand the customers’ needs to make product recommendations.
  • Follow up on payments and reminders.
  • Liaise with technical dept to ensure the customer needs are met.
  • Liaise with and provide internal support to external sales team and other departments within the company.
  • Maintain thorough and accurate customer account records.
Requirements
  • Must be fluent in French and English (written & verbal) to business level.
  • Proficiency in additional European languages—especially German or Italian—would be a strong advantage.
  • Must be commercially aware and enjoy building rapport with customers.
  • Provide an exceptionally high level of customer service.
  • Excellent communication, organisational & teamworking skills, willing to do what is expected with a positive attitude.
  • Can demonstrate the ability to prioritise, multitask whilst retaining attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Fast learner, computer literate & proficient in written communication.
  • Must be cooperative, agreeable, and sympathetic listener who gets along with others and enjoys being helpful to them.
