Qualifications

Freelance Project Manager - Interior Fit-Out & Refurbishment

London / Hybrid

Immediate Start / Project-Based Contract

A fast-growing commercial interiors firm is seeking a freelance Project Manager to support the delivery of dynamic workplace fit-out and refurbishment projects. This role offers the opportunity to lead client-focused schemes that blend design innovation with functional excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Take full ownership of project delivery from pre-start through to handover including 4 - 5 projects
  • Liaise with design teams, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure project milestones are met
  • Monitor budgets, timelines, and site performance, ensuring exceptional standards throughout
  • Lead on-site progress meetings, coordinate trades, and resolve delivery challenges
  • Oversee health & safety compliance and maintain project documentation
  • Ensure snagging and quality control processes are managed efficiently

Candidate Profile

  • Strong experience delivering commercial office projects (£250K-£2M+)
  • Background in fit-out, refurbishment, or workplace design (Cat A & B)
  • Confident communicator with excellent client and subcontractor management skills
  • Capable of working autonomously while contributing to broader team goals
  • Familiarity with JCT contracts and construction programmes (MS Project/Asta)
  • SMSTS / CSCS preferred
