Job summary

A leading assessment organization in the UK is seeking a freelance End Point Assessor/IQA with substantial experience as a Construction Plant Operative. You will conduct independent assessments, ensuring compliance with quality standards. Candidates must hold an Assessor Qualification and relevant operational experience in plant operations. This role requires a commitment to continuous professional development and the ability to build a rapport with apprentices for optimal performance during assessments.

Qualifications

  • Operational Experience: Forklift 1 year, Ride-on Roller 1 year, Excavator 360 2 years.
  • Moderate other assessors' work in line with quality assurance procedures.
  • Adhere to GDPR practices ensuring data is secure.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure assessments meet NOCN's quality assurance standards.
  • Upload assessment reports on time according to service level agreements.
  • Prepare for assessments and identify gaps in apprentices' KSBs.

Job description

NOCN Group are seeking a freelance End Point Assessor/ IQA with significant experience as a Construction Plant Operative, to help carry out End Point Assessments for the Construction Plant Operative apprenticeship Standard.

Location: Travel maybe required to sites

Hours: Freelance

Purpose and Objectives:
  • Ensuring End Point Assessments are carried out independently and meet NOCN's quality assurance Standards
  • To complete assessments in accordance with the prescribed assessment instruments as defined within the End Point Assessment plan
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Assessing the apprentice against the relevant Knowledge, Skills and Behaviours throughout the Multiple Choice Test, Observation with questioning and the Professional Interview in accordance with the End Point Assessment plan.
  • Upload reports from the assessments in a timely manner and in line with NOCN's service level agreements.
  • Prepare for assessments in a timely manner and be able to identify gaps in the apprentice's KSBs
  • Be able to build a quick rapport with apprentices to ensure that they can perform their best within assessments
  • Maintaining hands on CPD in their subject area to ensure knowledge is up to date.
  • Represent NOCN in a professional manner when conducting assessments.
  • Adhering to GDPR practices and ensuring all data is secure.
  • Moderate other assessor's work in line with internal quality assurance procedures
The role requirements are:
  • Hold/Working towards Assessor Qualification (I.E CAVA/A1)
  • Operational Experience - Forklift 1 year/ Ride-on Roller 1 year/ Excavator 360 2 years/ dumper or dump truck 1 year
  • CSCS Card - either competent operator, trainer, tester or instructor level & endorsed with all plant categories (excavator above 10tonne/ rough-terrain forklift or telescopic handler/ forward tipping dumper or dump truck/ ride-on roller)
