Job description

We are seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Foundation Stage Senior Practitioner to support the leadership and delivery of high-quality early years education within our EYFS setting. You will play a key role in supporting staff, modelling outstanding practice, and ensuring the best possible outcomes for children. This role is working in the 9 month+ old room as the room lead.

Responsibilities
  • Support the Nursery Manager / EYFS Lead in the day-to-day running of the setting
  • Lead by example, delivering high-quality teaching and learning in line with the EYFS
  • Act as a key person and support staff with observations, assessments, and planning
  • Monitor children's progress and support targeted interventions where needed
  • Support safeguarding, health & safety, and welfare requirements
  • Mentor and support practitioners, students, and apprentices
  • Build strong partnerships with parents and carers
  • Contribute to staff meetings, training, and reflective practice
Qualifications and Experience
  • Level 3 Early Years qualification (Level 5 or above desirable)
  • Significant experience working within an EYFS setting
  • Strong understanding of EYFS, safeguarding, and child development
  • Ability to lead, inspire, and support colleagues
  • Excellent communication and organisational skills
  • Paediatric First Aid (or willingness to obtain)Enhanced DBS check (required)
