Become a Lleol (local) Foster Carer with Flintshire County Council
Annual Fee: £50,000 + up to £13,453.96 in Weekly Allowances. Plus, additional payments for holidays, birthdays & Christmas.
Lleol means local in Welsh and with fostering maintaining locality is hugely important. There are children and young people in and around the Flintshire area who need something more than just a traditional fostering placement. They need time, patience, expertise and above all someone who will believe in them and fight their corner.
This is fostering but not as you know it. This is Lleol Fostering.
We are looking for extraordinary people to join us as Lleol Foster Carers including those who have worked as Art Therapists, using creativity to help individuals process trauma, express themselves, and build emotional resilience.
If you ve worked therapeutically with children or young people, supported emotional wellbeing through creative interventions, or helped individuals navigate complex mental health needs, your insight and empathy could be life-changing by offering a child the one thing they need most a safe, therapeutic home.
Ideally, you won t have other children under 16 living in your home (though exceptions may apply dependent on individual fostering experience).
then your ability to create emotional safety, build trust, and support healing through expression could make you an outstanding foster carer.
