Job summary

A leading company in material handling is looking for a Workshop Engineer to support the Chesterfield area. Responsibilities include repairing and maintaining fork lift trucks and conducting routine maintenance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the plant industry and hold an NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance. This position offers a salary of £30K-£40K, overtime potential, and a company van.

Qualifications

  • Experience with diagnostic tools and computer software is required.
  • Valid Full UK Driving Licence is mandatory.

  • Carry out after service repair work.
  • Comply with all H&S rules.

The Workshop Engineers Main Responsibilities:

Experienced workshop engineer covering the below on various fork lift equipment.

  • Repair and maintain Fork lift trucks and other site MHE.
  • Carry out after service repair work.
  • Carry out routine maintenance with customers to achieve service levels.
  • Site visits across various areas within your agreed patch.
  • Comply with all H&S rules.
  • Planning and self-organisation.

Workshop Engineer Work experience requirements:

The successful Workshop engineer will have must if not all of the below

  • Strong background in Plant industry essential.
  • NVQ Level 3 Plant Maintenance or equivalent.
  • Experience of diagnostic tools and computer software including engine diagnostics.
  • Will consider ex-forces and people from the motor trade.
  • Valid Full UK Driving Licence.
