Job description

Forensic Psychologist (Part-Time, 2–3 Days/Week)

Location: Bexhill-on-Sea

Salary: Up to £55,000 (pro rata)

Service: 6 forensic mental health wards | Up to 70 service users

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Forensic Psychologist to join our multidisciplinary team on a part-time basis (2–3 days per week). You will deliver high-quality psychological assessment, formulation and intervention to adults with a range of complex mental health needs across six forensic wards.

This role offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to make a meaningful impact within a supportive, well-established clinical environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence‑based psychological and risk assessments, formulations and interventions (individual and group).
  • Work collaboratively with the MDT to develop and review care and treatment plans.
  • Provide consultation, guidance and reflective practice to clinical colleagues.
  • Support service development, audits, and clinical governance activities.
  • Maintain accurate, professional clinical documentation.
About You
  • HCPC-registered Practitioner Psychologist (Forensic) — essential.
  • Experience working with complex mental health, personality disorder or forensic presentations.
  • Strong formulation, communication and risk assessment skills.
  • A reflective and collaborative practitioner able to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
