Job summary

A regional healthcare trust is seeking a Locum Consultant Psychiatrist specializing in forensic psychiatry. The position involves managing a low secure service, supervising medical staff, and participating in service planning and the Trust's academic programmes. Candidates must have an MB,BS or equivalent, and MRCPsych. Qualifications

  • Fully registered with the GMC with a licence to practise at appointment.
  • CCT in Psychiatry or inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in psychiatry.
  • Experience working with service users who have complex needs.

Responsibilities

  • Manage and supervise junior medical staff according to Trust policies.
  • Perform administrative duties related to patient care.
  • Participate in service and business planning for mental health services.
  • Attend and participate in the Trust’s academic programme.

Education
