A leading healthcare provider in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced administrative professional to provide comprehensive secretarial support to the Consultant Psychiatrist and medical team. You will manage communications, handle sensitive information, and ensure efficient workflow. The role requires familiarity with NHS systems and previous administrative experience. Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively are essential. A Welsh language speaker is preferable but not mandatory. To provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Consultant Psychiatrist and wider medical team.
Works independently to defined policies and procedures and manages own workload.
THIS POST IS FIXED TERM/SECONDMENT FOR 12 MONTHS DUE TO FUNDING, THIS WILL BE REVIEWED AFTER 12 MONTHS . If you are interested in applying for the secondmentposition, you must obtain permission from your current linemanager prior to applying for this post.
To complete all secretarial work in a timely and efficient manner as requested by the Consultant Psychiatrist, Associate Specialist, Staff Grade, Specialist Registrar and SHO - This will include shorthand, audio-typing, word processing, data entry as necessary.
To process both incoming and outgoing mail for the Medical and wider team.
Receiving telephone calls, sometimes of complex and sensitive nature and providing general non-clinical advice/information to members of the public, service users, other professionals and staff on a daily basis.
To exercise judgement when dealing with enquiries and to implement an effective and robust system to ensure that queries are answered in an accurate and timely manner. This will include problem solving skills to assist patients and staff with variety of enquiries.
Ensuring a robust messaging system is in place to/ from your Medical Team. Ensuring that these are carried out and records maintained.
The ability to speak Welsh is desirable for this post; English and/or Welsh speakers are equally welcome to apply.
